2023 Theory & Calculations Continuing Education Course

Course credit – 8 hours or 8 CEUs

This course follows a small manufacturing plant, project case study. During this course you will review load calculations for receptacles and lighting, calculations for motors including conductor and overcurrent protection sizing, calculations for electric arc welders and transformer calculations. Upon completing this course you will have sized all of the loads and welder, motor and transformer specifics for the manufacturing plant, project case study. Our Wiring Methods and Grounding and Bonding courses also follow this project case study.

All continuing education courses are based from the 2023 edition of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and are approved by the Colorado State Electrical Board and DORA. A Colorado State licensed electrician must complete 24 hours of Continuing Education by September 30th 2023. A minimum of 4 hours of Code Changes is required.
